Two Lavalier mics for XL2
Rookie question/concern.
If I hook-up two lavalier mics for an interviewer and interviewee and have the standard 16 bit setting - it appears and sounds like the left mic is on CH 1 and the right is on CH 2. That said, when listening to the audio while recording the sound only comes in the corresponding ear. Can I adjust the audio later in a program like Final Cut to have stereo sound for each person miked up? Thanks. |
I'm not sure if FCP can do this (I'm PC based). But you need to
seperate the left and right channel into individual tracks and then promote these to stereo. But why would you want to do that? Usually you mix multiple mono signals (which are outputted to both channels when you export to a stereo track). |
FCP can handle it. Your audio will come in as mono but you ca ndouble it up and create a stereo pair.
