Time Remapping for 24pA

I know this is a long shot - but I'm trying to get a smooth looking variable time remap for some footage that was shot at 24a frame rate and a high shutter speed. I know it sounds like a worst case scenario for this kind of work, but it's necessary for an action sequence to be believable. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Remove the pulldown so you've got just the 24 frames, and then use a plugin like Boris Optical Flow or Twixtor.

Thanks - that sounds like a plan - just one question; How do I remove the pulldown?

FCP has an option to remove 24pA pulldown. If it's 24p normal, you need to use Cinema Tools.
