FCP external Video

Hi

I'm working on a project in PAL DV anamorphic, and thats fine, and i'm viewing it on my handycam deck and monitor, and thats almost fine, except its 4:3 - on both the camera LCD and TV. Ive got it to work before as 16:9 but I can't get it. Is there a certain way I should connect / start / turn on etc devices and presets?

Thanks
Ryan

Set the Record mode of the camcorder (in VTR mode) to widescreen (anamorphic)?

FCP's 16:9 output to Firewire is a 4:3 squeeze, so you'd need a plasma display or a 4:3 display with 16:9 switching to view as 16:9.
