fcp to vimeo
I have been using vimeo for a while but can't get the results I want on it that I see alot of other people getting. I have a canon xh-a1 1080i 30p and I edit in apple prores 30p. Ive been using the vimeo recomendations for uploading but I know there are better ways to upload to get better quality. If anybody can give me any tips and/or specs it would be much appreciated either from compressor or straight from fcp, doesn't matter.

Have you tried this method? Using Compressor to Encode HD Content for Vimeo
|
Yes, this seems to be the method I have been using the exact one that they tell you to use on the vimeo help page.

There are two other things to consider; in the FCP timeline Sequence settings did you use "Best" selected for motion rendering?
Also, it could be the original source material isn't as good as you think it is when looking at the FCP viewer. What specifically are the problems with your Vimeo encodes? Motion? Color/gamma? Be more specific about the loss of quality and we can drill-down and find the culprit - possibly. |
