FCP 6 Log and Capture
 

Im in FCP 6 and just tried to capture my first time from my camera using FCP. I clicked log and capture and it only opens to capture everything not a log and capture window. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

It might be a result of your firewire or capture settings....if you selected Apple Intermediate HDV for example, I believe this allows you only to capture the entire tape in one motion. Use the "Easy Setup" and make sure your settings match what you are trying to bring in or capture. For example, 1080i 60 or 1080i 30p / HDV or DV, etc.

You were right, I had to get in touch with apple to figure out the right setting for what I was capturing from my Cannon XH A1. It required a setting of HDV 1080i60 firewire basic. works now.
