FCP 6.6-mixing formats on one timeline
I'm currently working on a clip shot with my panasonic HMC150 in 720 60p, 1080 24p 1080 60i and 1080 30p on a 1080 30 timeline. When I try exporting it to 1920 x 1080 it's very glitchy and doesn't play properly but when I export it at 1280 x 720 it plays perfect. Is this due to all the different frame rates I'm working with? I'm really horrible with export settings so maybe something is unchecked or something.
let me know your thoughts. thanks |
Maybe since some clips are progressive and some are interlaced it's getting a mixed up.
|
Have you enabled "Recompress All Frames" on export?
|
Explain exactly how it is glitchy and not playing back properly. What are your complete export settings? What are your complete computer specs?
|
Doesn't play properly where? In QuickTime? In FCP? Off an external drive? Possibly the 1080 file is overtaxing your system at the moment.

Once I get home I'll provide the information.
thanks guys |
never mind, i'm just retarded. I have a macbook pro 2.4 ghz core 2 duo. I guess the file is to large to play on my computer but plays fine when on my Western Digital media player.
thanks guys |
Retarded? You are more knowledgeable now than you were when you started the thread. :)
