Source MKV, please help.....

Hi guys, been pulling my hair out,
what will convert a 720p 29.97fps MKV DivX file into something lossless ( or close to it ) so I can get it into FCP.
Ive tried,
Adobe media converter, wont even look at it.
Xilsoft video converter, bad source wont open.
Quicktime, nah, didnt really expect it to.
on the Windows side....
Vegas wont see it,
Nero Vision wont see it,
I got it into Super on the PC, but, its been going for about 5 hours and is at about 1.5% ..... :((((
helllllppppppppp!

What about MPEG Streamclip?

Try VLC but it's not going to look good. Installing Perian might help but some people have problems with Perian installed.

thanks for responding,
mpeg streamclip, no go, wont even see it.
vlc will open it, but fails about 90 sec in.
I managed to get Any Video Converter to convert most of it to Huffy yuv,
but, its some mutant version of Huffy yuv that no NLE can see.
So right now Im screen capturing the mutant huffy in VLC.
OMG, if I ever have to use another source file in MKV ( invented by the devil himself I think ), Im going to run away screaming. lol.

Although I don't have any personal experience with it, it is my understanding that your best bet for MKV on the Mac will likely be MEncoder - the free opensource complement to MPlayer.

MPlayer OS X | Download MPlayer OS X software for free at SourceForge.net
