XDCAM EX import error

This is a new camera and it's my first attempt at log and transfer. I just downloaded the XDCAM plug-in for final cut from the sony website.
anyone know why I'm getting this message? I'm selecting the BPAV folder I imported via USB from my EX-1r.

David,

Before you load your volume into the log and transfer in final cut... open a project in fcp.. make sure your project settings match the source media.. and very important... OPEN LOG AND TRANSFER AND SET A LOGGING BIN IN THE NEW PROJECT YOU WILL BE EDITING IN.. then load your source volume in log and transfer..

this method has gotten me out of the jam you are in!

hope this helps

Greg

also, did you install xdcam transfer plug in or the log and transfer plug in?
