Are Soundtrack Pro/iLife jingles/sfx (royalty) free to use?

I read once on one of the Mac forums that they are but I need to be sure about this as I'm using a few of the sounds effects and one of the pieces of music (Greasy Wheels long) for a website video I am in the process of editing for a client.

It's a shame there's not more choice when it comes to the jingles, the Soundtrack Pro ones are the same as the iMovie HD ones.

In situations where non royalty free library music is beyond the clients budget, what are the best options? Can anyone recommend a site with free music downloads that are reasonable quality and free to use?

c) Soundtrack Pro. You may use the Apple and third party audio file content (including, but not limited to, the built-in sound files, samples and impulse responses) (collectively the “Audio Content”), contained in or otherwise included with the Apple Software, on a royalty-free basis, to create your own original soundtracks for your film, video and audio projects. You may broadcast and/or distribute your own soundtracks that were created using the Audio Content, however, individual audio files may not be commercially or otherwise distributed on a standalone basis, nor may they be repackaged in whole or in part as audio samples, sound files or music beds.

Thanks, that's all slightly ambiguous but 'may not be commercially or otherwise distributed on a standalone basis' - well it's not being distributed as such, people will have to find the video and it's background music to a film of a man delivering Italian food in Bangkok on a motorbike.

The last part of my question still remains.

The best thing I can do is to just let my client know the details, he's getting the video for a massive discount so if he wants it with music then he can do the homework for the music.

It's really not ambiguous. The bottom line is this: If you use these elements in your project, they are free. If you make money with the project - No problem. It's all royalty free. What they say you cannot do is to take the audio files and re-sell them as stand-alone files. Based on your description, you should be fine since the audio is used in your project.
