Problem spacing text in FCP5
 

I'm using the scrolling text tool to create credits for a short movie. I can't seem to get the spacing correct. I've read that adding an * should space the text properly, but when I try it, the * just shows up in the credits. Does this trick not work in FCP5? If not, then what can I do to space the credits properly.

Nevermind. I made a new set of credits and it worked fine.

I know you found a solution but might also be able to make it photoshop and then keyframe the motion....
