Color Correction

I use an Avid Mojo at work. I'm quite comfortable using there color correction scheme.

Typically, I use the curves chart. I will tweek the Red's toward the top of the histogram and tweek the highlights toward the top too. This will usually "pop" the footage. I've found that the skin tones look more natural and so do the highlights.

Now my question. I use FCP at home and have found that the color correction scheme is completely different. It seems that I can't use the curves palette in FCP like I can in Avid.

Have I missed this some how?? What would be the best way to use curves in FCP?

Thanks.

You didn't miss a thing.

Do get a color correction too with curves, you need to buy Synthetic Apertures COLOR FINESSE.

Nattress Film Effects also has curves in it. They're different from Color Finesse's though.

Color Finesse has more control. CF launches into an external program, which you may not like. You gotta wait while switching, and you only get to correct stills not video.

nattress.com - try the demo. the filters are an affordable $99 with lifetime updates.

Only correct stills? What do you mean by that? I correct video footage with that.
