AIC vs. HDV 720p
 
Which codec is better for editing in FCP? AIC or HDV?

I heard AIC is better because it is less compressed allowing for faster renders.

Any tips?

Not to be rude, but this topic has been discussed in this forum so many times, I don't think we need to start over. Use the search function, and you'll find plenty of information.

Sorry if I offended you, Scott. That wasn't my intention at all. But a good number of the threads here over the last few weeks have discussed this particular topic. I think one of them would warrant sticky-status, IMO. Or - even better - it would be one more incentive to start a DVi-Wiki (hint, hint)...
