Need Help capturing from DVX100.

Ok im having a problem, my setup is an Imac computer with Final Cut Pro, a Sony DSR 30 deck, and i shoot on a Panasonic DVX100(using the 24p advanced setting). The problem is when i try to batch capture it comes up with an error message saying it is having trouble reading the tape and something might be wrong with the tape.(these are brand new sony tapes) But when i capture by just hitting the "capture now" button it works, but occasionaly it will have the same error. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Anyone have any ideas? I would appreciate it, Thanks.

Still not working

Thanks for the idea, but unfortunatley that did not solve the problem, i dont think it has anything to do with the 24p setting, i think its something with the deck maybe, anyone have issues with the dsr 30?
