Vcd??????

does anyone know how to do a VCD on a mac? I have a 667 Ti book with a combo drive. thanks ahead of time

It makes VCDs by dropping QuickTime files on it's window. It encodes them into VCD format, then prompts for a blank CD and burns it. Couldn't be any easier. Depending on processor speed it may be slow. My dual 450 encodes at about 8 to 1 (8 minutes to make 1 minute of VCD). I have an associate that encodes at about 3 to 1 with his dual 1 gig.

A standard 650mb disc holds about 70 minutes of video on a VCD. The video quality is on par with VHS. It is not as good as DVD.

Will Toast allow you to use more than one video clip on one CD. Like lets say I have Toast Ti. 5 and want to make a VCD with 3 different 5 min spots. Can I do this with Toast

Yes. But you can't set up a fancy menu or anything like that. It'll be like tracks on an audio CD.
