Preview Disabled / Log & Capture

Hey guys.

Using final cut pro 5.1.1 here and logging & capturing live from the XL-H1 through the blackmagic multibridge pro. When I am in log & capture I get 'Preview Disabled' but when I bring up the scopes my preview shows up just fine. Do I have a setting wrong somewhere?

thanks much

If you have dual displays, and the capture preview is not on the primary display, you'll usually have issues like that.

Even though they're both mirrored, one of them gets the benefits of acceleration, and the other not only lacks that, but also is constrained by a comparatively slow PCI slot. That's usually the one that doesn't get video.

The primary display is the one that gets the Apple logo upon booting. I'd turn off mirroring, put the capture window on the primary display, and see what happens.

turned off mirroring, works great. Now all I have to worry about is losing my mouse over in the other screen since nothing is hooked up to it.
