Quick question

Actually 2 questions : 1. Is there anyway to see if you've used a clip in the bin. On other editing stations that I've used, there is always an icon of some sort to show you that you've used that clip, It's pretty handy when you have a million clips.

2. If you've captured all your clips with audio and when editing, you don't need the audio, is there a way to omit the audio before you drag it onto the timeline? It's such a pain when your adding cutaways and things and you have to drag the clip on the timeline then unlink the audio, click again, and then delete the audio.

Thanks,
Brian

I'm not sure if there is any logo in the browser that shows if a clip is used but you can do a command-f to search your timeline for the shot you are wondering about, also you can turn on "duplicate frames" in the timeline to see if you've used a shot more than once. To not bring in audio to the time line just click the little icons next to A1 and A2 in your timeline, when you click them it should look like you just disconnected to links from a chain.

Brian #1: after you've used a particular clip, right click on that clip in the bin, go to label and make it a color, I use red to show that the clip has been used. It will show red in the bin and on the timeline.

#2 On the timeline deslect the a1 and a2 buttons on the left side of the timeline then you can add your clip to the timeline without any audio.
