Removing an Onscreen Image from Captured Footage

I grabbed a Made for TV Movie from my DVR box onto my Camcorder and then captured it into Final Cut. I thought I had made sure no onscreen images were on top of the Video, but I missed an image that goes across a few frames.

Currently there is a bar across the screen stating "play" and indicating how much of the movie has played. Is there anyway to remove this image/bar from the video through Final Cut?

I can probably take a screen capture if anyone needs to see it.

Hey Hal, there are a couple of solutions depending on how bad it is and how much work you want to do, if its just accross the top or bottom you could just crop it out or you could add a solid color over it or you may have to rotoscope it which is basically just a frame by fram removal of it with masks and stuff final cut has a garbage matte and you should be able to use a couple of them and keyframe their shape over the frames if you have to, again it depends on how complex this overlay is.
