How to mix HDV 1080i50 footage with 480i60?

We shot my film on the Z1 in 1080i50 mode; there's a scene where a character talks into a small Handicam (DV, 480i60). We shot with that to stay authentic, but how do I mix it in? Do I convert the footage to 50i now or straight to 23.98 later? I'm thinking 50i now. What about mixing DV with HDV? I haven't done it too much. Can I uprez and pillar box it?

Thanks,

heath

I think 50i now is the best option. Do a 23.98 de-interlace when you have a final cut.
