If NOt PostScript What About Open Type?

As we have seen in the thread below, PS fonts will not work in FCP

BUT...can the new Open Type fonts be used? This is not in the manual.

Hope so as I have found an Open Type version of this P in the A face some goofy print designer picked and I am stuck with for video.
