Dell & Mac Pro
There's two things that aren;t generally in the same sentence...
A year or so ago I purchased a refurbished Dell 24" "cinema" monitor. It was so cheap - around $500 that I thought why not, it came with the same as new warranty. It is a fantastic monitor. As I progress through the sticker shock of purchasing a Power Mac and the 23" Cinema display is $1K and the 30" is $2K [really nice monitor by the way] I checked the prices over at dell and they have refurbished 30" displays for around $1K. Things that make you go hmmm. Should I just consider myself incredibly lucky with the refurbished monitor I got and not push my luck? Is there anyone using a Dell 24" or 30" monitor with a Mac? I would imagine they work fine, right? Any thoughts? [Nate - thanks in advance] |

I have the 2405 and it is a very good monitor, I hadn't realized they changed them. |
I have two 2405s.

Which do you think would be better 2x24" or one 30"? I have pixel envy, that 30" display has a lot of "wow" factor... |
More real estate with 2x24". Wow factor aside. I prefer two monitors.

I have twin 21" Dells on a PC. The good news... they also have component and S-Video in, so I used them as field monitors for my last two-camera HD shoot. The gamma is not great, so we didn't set exposure by it, but the resolution is absoultely fine for focus, and they were perfect for framing.
