Great editing example

Just wanted to share this awesome intro (the BBC show Life on Mars).

I think it's great editing work. Not sure what software they used, but I do see extensive use of colour correction. I can't begin to imagine the amount of nests they used...

Any comments?

I'd have thought "great compositing", or "great on-lining" would be a better description.

It's an old technique (deliberately chosen as this is a show about going back in time) executed very well. Very rare for the beeb to have a decent title sequence, but what was that music all about?

Cheers,

Liam.
