Convert 24fps to 25fps

I'm looking for a quick way to convert PAL DV 24fps to PAL DV 25fps.
I don't need telecine, just speeding up the framerate would be ok - but I can't find a way to do it in FCP 4.5 HD. I tried exporting with the 24@25fps option, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

I'm pretty sure that FCP 4.5 comes with a separate application called "Cinema Tools". It should be in your Applications folder (otherwise do a search for it in the Finder).

To use Cinema Tools to change 24 fps to 25 fps:

1. Open Cinema Tools.
2. A box called "Open Database" will appear. Click "Cancel".
3. On the top menu bar, click File>Open Clip and choose your clip.
4. A new window should have opened displaying your clip.
5. Click the "Conform" button on the right-hand side.
6. In the drop-down box next to "Conform to", select 25.0 and click "Conform".
7. You're done.

Thanks David, I'm not sure if Cinema Tools is installed but I really hope it is (the Mac isn't mine, it's at work and our admin is on vacation...)

Hi David,

cinema tools was actually there and it worked just like you said.
However the footage was still not good because it had been improperly exported to 24 fps from a 25 fps source (there was still a missing frame every second...). Well, we acquired the original dv tapes now so we can import them correctly :)
