Is AIC compatible with HDV 1080p25?

Hi, I just got a Canon HV20 which captures 1080p25 in its cine-mode. I can capture this in FCP6 without problem. However, for editing it would be nice to work in Apple Intermediate Codec, but from the docs, etc. it seems this codec assumes 1080i not 1080p for 25 fps (PAL country). Any suggestions as to the best approach working with 1080p25 material in FCP 6?

Thanks,

david.

I use my HV20 in 25p 1080 with AIC it works great with FCP.

Capture in FCP direct AIC that will save transcoding.

I have found capturing as .m2t using the Firewire SDK apps then transcoding into AIC '1440x1080 square' using MPEGStream Clip yeilds cleaner footage.
