How to do a thorough uninstall of FCS 2?
 

Like many others Compressor 3 in FCS 2 is not working for me. Before I couldn't 'submit.' Now it won't even start up!

I tried trashing the apps and re-installing, no good.

So I tried reinstalling FCS 1, though it asks for the DVDSP 4 discs. Isn't '4' a FCS 2 update. This has me thinking I didn't completely uninstall FCS 2.

How can I thoroughly uninstall FCS 2?

FCS 1 also comes with DVDSP 4. I don't think they changed the numbering for FCS 2.

Have you tried re-installing FCS2? What is compressor doing to you? What computer are you using? I am having a hard time with setting up 2 machines for distributed proccessing, however Comp 3 is a little different in looks and feel.

AppZapper should nuke the program thoroughly if you need to.

Actually, I had the same issue, and App Zapper did not uninstall all necessarry files. I had to call Apple and have them walk me through the multiple directories. Once everything is cleared out and the program is reinstalled, be sure to update before opening any FCP 2 application.

anyone have the list of files to completely delete FCS2?
 

I am having the same issue but do not know how to completely uninstall the FCS2.

At first, my install was great and compressor was working fine. But for some stupid reason I decided to reinstall FCS2 so I could get color (I originally left that ap out because I don't have necessary hardware). After the install neither FCP or Compressor wouldn't launch.

Now I have no idea what I did because I've been very busy traveling at work and I recently moved (Brooklyn!!), I may have even tried another complete re-install, but now FCP works but compressor is still not launching.

I see this problem everywhere on the web but no good solution other than re-fortmating and starting completely new. I'd rather just get rid of FCS2 "completely" and try a fresh install that way.

any advice?
