Live Type - FCP (23.98 HDV Project)
 

Hi: I'm trying in vain to complete my film for a festival and I'm running into a subtitle problem.

I have my FCP Sequence set at 1280 x 720 (23.98). The problem is when I import subtitles from LiveType they tend to "brighten" the picture when they're on screen. I think it's related to the "Project Properties" within LiveType. Does any one have any suggestions? Should I be selecting DVC PRO HD 720p?

Or should I select HDV 1080i50? (I do plan on upresing to 1080 for color correction).

Have you tried exporting from LiveType in .TGA format?

This format allows for easier overlapping.
