Correct the monitor color.

Hello to all.

I have MAC G5 and about 3 weeks ago I changed my nonitor for a Vizio TV/Monitor.

Color was great until this past week when my stepgrands came to my house and had their XBox conected on my MAC.

My problem:
The color of the TV is great; I also have a DVD/VHS attached in the TV/Monitor and no problems there with color

However, when I change the mode from TV to RGB, the color is terrible. The predominance of the color is green. I tried to correct but as you guys can figure by now I had no sucess so far. I believe that the color problems in on the MAC not on the TV/Monitor

Any brigth ideas?

Thanks for your help

Go to System Preferences and select Displays. Click on the Color button. Click the Calibrate button and follow the instructions - I also suggest you check the Expert Mode box.

But I'm not convinced that they didn't change something on the monitor itself. Have you tried going through all the menus there to see if the color controls are set wrong? There should be some sort of reset menu item which restores the monitors defaults - look in your manual.

Did you check the RGB cable?

correct the monitor color.

To: Boyd
Yes, I've tried the system preference and I'm pretty sure the problem is there because I can see the changes in color. I'm thinking about a back up system.

To: Glenn
Yes, I checked that RGB cable before I posted the thread.

I will chekc the whole manual system and will come back with that.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you soooooooo much!!!!!!!!

Hi guys

Very simple problem, the TV/Monitor cable (RGB) was lose. I turn off the MAC and after checked all connectors on the tower I noticed that the RGB was lose on the tower.
After I adjusted the RGB cable the color came back.

Boyd: I also learned how to adjust my color.... soooooo, thanks

Glen: Thank you very much, because I checked the RGB cable connection on the monitor but not on the tower. I learned my lesson....

Thank you guys sooooooooo very much for your help
