Sorenson, Camtasia or WildformFX

Well, I've been evaluating software that will efficiently put my video into a package that is easily transfered to my site. With my editing backlog, I dont' have time to do coding, such as free players and such.

The above are the ones I have been looking at, and so far Camtasia shows the best compression I can work out.

I'm open to opinions if anyone has worked with any of these. My goal is the flv or swf codec as an output.

Steven,

I have used Camtasia before and it's mostly geared towards doing screen captures from your computer. I guess they have video encoding tools, but it doesn't seem like its the perfect tool for the job.

Sorenson is a great tool for doing web video encoding and your best bet here. It will produce .flv files for you. It won't produce a Flash player for you though. You'll have to wire the video into a player yourself. (By the way, FLV and SWF are not "codecs". When you produce a Flash video it's usually encoded with the On2 VP6 codec and that video is placed inside a FLV container file).

I have not used Wildform. Seems like a neat product for doing web presentations in Flash, doesn't seem like video encoding is its core purpose though.

Another option is to drop a DVD in the mail and we'll do it for you. You can then embed the resulting high quality Flash in your website, blog etc. The other email sharing tools we provide are also a great way to help you grow your videography business.

Thanks for the reply. I'm just looking for a one stop shop on video to web. I know the new version of Camtasia is coming out soon, I'll probably wait until then. But so far, my test videos with Camtasia have turned out pretty nice, and the tech support from Camtasia has been awesome. So thanks again.
