Google FAA wedding congressman - it's about to get VERY interesting...

Rather surprised no one else picked up on THIS story - as the saying goes, "S**T's about to get real" on this topic.

An openly gay congressman, hires video with aerial shots for his wedding, and he apparently is part of the congressional oversight of the FAA, who in turn has opened an investigation as to whether the aerial video violated any rules...

Someone fire up the popcorn, this should get pretty interesting pretty fast, as the "players" are about as high profile as you'll ever get...

No doubt this will be a "case" to keep a close eye on!

He might get away with it if the FAA rules don't specifically forbid making areal shots of gay weddings.

I wonder how this one could play into the situation.

The FAA's Cease-And-Desist Orders to Drone Pilots Are Bogus, Appeals Court Rules

Quote from the story:
"The email at issue is not a formal cease-and-desist letter representing the agency's final conclusion that an entity has violated the law," the judges wrote. "The [FAA] employee did not represent the consummation of the agency's decision making process, nor did it give rise to any legal consequences.

In other words, because the FAA's letters to the group (and to all the companies flying drones) don't actually say what the punishment for disobeying the agency is, they are null-and-void. And because there's no actual regulation that the FAA can lean on to spell out a punishment, it seems there won't be any real cease-and-desist orders sent out any time soon."

sadly, pretty much falls under standard procedure. in NYC you can find cops breaking plenty of the traffic laws that they're also enforcing. 'above the law' crap, always excuses, always BS.

I wish you were right, but... This looks like standard issue government corruption for the USA. The corporate media will sweep this under the rug which is their normal operating procedure these days. Watch and see. And hope I'm wrong.

They won't just "sweep it under the rug." There is simply no way this helps out their bottom line to report on it. There's no covering it up as it were, just a lack of interest by the public at large who couldn't care less about this issue.

And the people who complain about this issue the most don't seem to be ready to do anything about it.
