DJI Phantom 3 Standard Rotor Blades Showing in Videos

I'm considering buying a DJI Phantom 3 Standard. I'm looking at this as I have never flown a drone before and don't want to spend £1,000s on my first drone.

From what I have seen online it looks good, but one thing I have seen is that the rotor blades can be seen in some videos taken with that drone. Most don't seem to have this but it does concern me a bit. Is this common, or 'user error'?

Any help you can give before I pull the trigger and shell out the cash would be great. Thanks.

Good choice for learning, now that the Spark is out and there are deals available on the Standard. You can tilt the camera up enough so that the blade action just comes into the top of the frame, but (obviously) you can tilt it down so that it doesn't.

i've had the rotors show up if i fly aggressively... moving quickly from one location to another. two ways to avoid the rotor in shot are to tilt the camera down (as Rainer stated) or to fly more smoothly and with less speed.

Thanks guys for your advice. I'm not going to be flying aggressively as I'm looking to get nice smooth flights. But if I tilt the camera down, I suppose that means that you're not going to get nice shots of a sunset or the horizon??

I've been flying the Phantom 4 Pro since February. The camera is fantastic. The collision avoidance has save the craft several times. The Phantom 3 to a good starter. Just don't tell my wife. I started with the P4P.

You can comfortably set your horizon halfway up your frame (and a bit lower) without any rotor interference.
