HDV recording DV transfers

G'day Guys,
Sorry but I have accidently posted this question in the wrong thread before!
http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=72841

My question is If I record in HDV on a FS4 pro HD, with a Sony Z1
can I transfer directly off the unit to Avid Liquid in Pinnacle AVI.
So I can preserve the correct timecode the same as the tape?

Thanks

The Firestore will only record HDV as M2T or (with the right upgrades) Quicktime MOV. So, you won't get an AVI directly.

I think Liquid will take an M2T and demux it though? Timecode should be in there, though I don't know whether Liquid will preserve it.
