FS-4 pro + XL2

On the Boston FCP site: http://tinyurl.com/r8x2q
The photo of the FS-4 shows it sitting on the back of the XL2. Has anyone got an idea what it is that is holding the fs-4 in place, and where it may be obtained?

I look forward to your thoughts!

Thanks in advance

Chris

It appears to be a holding bracket/bucket. May be the unit available on Focus Enhancement's site, at $39.00!?!?!?!? See the link below. No picture is available on the site, so I'll have to check around.

Would like one myself.

These guys need to get some pictures on the site.

Found this at B&H--------

Did not know it existed! Looks like a XL2 pattern?

Looks handy!

Thanks for that BH link Mike!
Now, if only it was available in the UK..

I heartily agree that a few more images would make things a little clearer but I think the cradle on Firestones site is that which sits precariously on the hot shoe - and is £199 here in the UK..

No, the hot shoe one is about $120.00. Check their site.

I stand corrected, as I was looking at the High capacity cradle..

The BHphoto mounting box is the closest I've seen to the one that the Boston FCP group have on their site so far but looks a little harder on the edges.

Just found this on Google..

So, is this the standard cradle that comes in the hot shoe kit?
If so, the question still arises as to how its attached to the back plate of the XL2.

Matt McEwen has provided me with the answer to what I need for my XL2 -
One FS Canon XL camera mount kit (ASYF-1057-01), but this is not yet available to mere mortals but maybe in a week or so.
It will use the accessory mounting bracket that comes with the XL H1 and I believe this is the same as that which comes as standard with the XL2.

Good to have some positive news :)

Hello, Chris. Did you get your hands on this mounting kit? I haven't found it on the focusinfo.com webstore site.

Thanks,

brian

It is available direct from Focus, it may have not made it up on the webstore or on dealer price lists yet. Call Focus direct if you need one quickly.

Will do. Thanks.

Hi Brian,

yes, I did get one, from sirentechnology.co.uk. I am very happy with its stability. Much better than balancing it on top of the camera with the first kit that came out.

Mat,
Strange that Focus are so slow to get these products on the site, and that images are not often available - I do web design if you want a hand ;-)

Thanks for the offer Chris and I apologize for the delay. Just one of those things that slipped through the cracks.
Thanks,

Matt

Thanks, Chris. Looks like the part appeared on the Focus web store today.
