reel confusion

Why is it the DR-HD100 screen tells me my files are in folder 0 and yet when I go to my computer, all the files aren't in any of the folders? Instead, it has created a folder w/ today's date and some other numbers - 20061117-110502-01. I'm a little confused.

Did you select the Organize Reel step in your DR-HD100 Utilities Menu prior to mounting to the computer? This is necessary in order to move clips to the folders you selected.

Yes, I did and it didn't seem to make a difference. A couple of times it did go to the Reel and other times it didn't. It's not that big a deal to me anyway as long as it goes somewhere. I'm shooting with it in a couple of weeks for a series of interviews and see how it goes. Maybe by the end, I'll have figured it out. I always have the tape as a back-up!

Thanks.

One common error is that when you select a reel, only slect it once. If you press the reel selection for a particular clip twice, one will select it, one will deselect it.

Thanks,

Matt

That makes sense. I'll make a note of it. Thanks.
