Capture & output stills on the fly from live HD-SDI feed?

Anyone know of a method to do this?

You've got a HDSDI feed going into an I/O (Kona/BM) then you need to be able to capture a single frame which is saved into a bin which can then be sent back through the I/O to be output again.

I've seen some possibilities from Stream labs and active silicon but nothing solid so far...I've got someone looking for a solution at NAB but if anyone knows of a simple hardware solution already available that would be great.
