Correct way for Lens Cleaning

Hi folks, I always wondered if I'm doing the right thing in lens cleaning. Here is a youtube video I found. I heard that we should clean from the center of the lens to the edges? OR it is ok to go from edge to edge?

Another thing is; Lint free paper is better of cleaning cloth? I so worried about scratching the lens! OH yes, I do use a UV filter but sometimes dust do get in.

Pretty good video for proceedure. I have started using microclean cloths instead of lens paper and I am pretty happy with the results.

Meh. My procedure is roughly the same. Use air first, then the brush. I never use a dry tissue (not that it should matter, but I don't see the point if you've already done the brush.) Wet the tissue, not the lens, wipe in a circular motion from the center out. So I was taught by Canon Rep and Minolt Rep many many moons ago grasshopper.

Use steel wool cleaning pads with powdered chlorine soap. Rub hard! (chuckle...)

I like the soft cleaning cloths that are used for eyeglasses.

I spit on the lens, then scrub it with the corner of my t-shirt.

I see the error of my ways now though.

I'll start spitting on the corner of my shirt first... wet the cloth, not the lens.
