Sony FX1 Playback on non-HD set??

Can the FX1 record in HD, but then still be viewed on normal NTSC? This is important for me, as I travel more than half the month and do not have access to HD sets on the road. (Hobbyist!)

I know that I won't see HD quality, and that is fine, because I will when I return home!

Anything else that I should consider? I have already ordered Final Cut HD Express. (Will I be able to burn a HD DVD and then watch it as a normal NTSC disc too? ? ?)

Thanks

The FX1 has component outputs for both 1080/480i, as well as a composite 480i output (RCA adaptors). Along firewire it also can do a DV-downconvert in camera such that footage can be edited as DV on any non-HD ready system.

You won't have any trouble getting it to play back on somone's TV - provided it has video inputs.

So, that means that the composite output is standard def? (s-video too?) Or, do I have to downconvert through firewire first?

The composite out is standard def. The cam also has S-video out... I just haven't had the chance to use it, so it didn't come to mind.
