Capture HDV Direct-To-Disk/Edit for HDV.....

Heading off to set (i'm late for call, *smile*) but I sure wish we had one of these for the project we are shooting now!! I can't wait to finish to get back and talk with all my online buddies. I've been swampped with projects back to back....

Anyhow...look what was posted on another board:

Nice looking unit. I was a little surprised to see FAT32 as the drive format mode. I've had some trouble with FAT32 and file sizes over 4Gig.

Perhaps the drive has a 'split-scene' function while recording to obtain >4Gig scenes, that can be 'stitched' in an NLE.

Very handy looking though... Our camcorders are starting to drive the development of other products. That's an indication of how well the FX-1/Z1 are doing! :)
