Can HDV tapes be transferred to computer via miniDV cams doubling as decks?
i'm guessing it can't be done cause miniDV can't playback HDV therefore computer can't capture it. this means i have to dump my current miniDV cam for HDV decks.... =(.

DV decks cannot play HDV tapes, so no, what you're speculating about will not work.
