How To Change Audio Settings?
 

I recently downloaded the trail copy of NEO. Can someone please tell me how to change the audio setting to PCM, so that I get uncompressed audio. Thanks.

I assume Neo is like Edius ( or Vegas for that matter) they will use the file format placed in the bin. The timeline will govern the playback format during editing and the export to file will govern the export format. To get uncompressed audio you will need to give it uncompressed audio. Project settings will govern the project format ( the timeline) then the export settings will govern the output format.
IF you capture HDV with MPEG audio you can export in many different audio formats but the quality will be defined by the source.

Ron: I currently use Pinnacle which gives me the option to outout to dvd using various types of audio compression. I was thinking that Neo offered something similar. I'm not getting the sound i'm looking for and I think its because NEO may be compressiong the sound to something other than what i'm looking for.

I am assuming that Neo is like Edius so these comments are from my knowledge of Edius. When you export to "Burn to Disc" you will get a window that controls the output to burn a DVD. There will be a box about half way down that has the choosen sequence to export and next to this sequence will be a "settings" box. Automatic settings will be default so uncheck this box and then uncheck boxes for video or audio as needed. Click this box and you will be presented with settings for video and audio that you can change. Audio selection will be Dolby AC3, MPEG 1 or PCM.
