sony clip browser

just shot a wedding and went to transfer clips via sony clp browser. after i transfer them, i open the bpav folder and theres 4 files in each folder one file being the mp4. there will be multiple folders of each of these, so when i open up edius and want to load the clips i have to open each folder and highllight the mp4 and bring it in. i seem to remember that there i could just highlight all the mxf files and bring them in all at once..
what am i missing here??

You are doing it the hard way. The easy way is:
1. Open Edius, make sure the bin window is visible.
2. Open Clip Browser, and click on the folder where your clips reside. You'll see thumbnail images of every cut.
3. Highlight all your thumbnail clips (ctl+a) then drag them all to the Edius bin.

Warren is right,
Stay out of the bpav folders and do not convert to anything!
Remember, you're using Edius!

G'day
I have not used this method, it saves a lot of time, thanks for the info.
A question, when I drag the clips in to my bin, does it copy them to the project folder or are they just linked to the original media disk?
Thanks

Re: sony clip browser

Link only, no physical copy.

If you want to copy: after importing, consolidate the project to the new location.
