Canopus have just revamped their web site here:

This makes it easier to understand the product line and its applications.

Among the info is this report on the use of Edius with P2 at the KRON 4 TV station:

Thought this might be of interest. It would help to get some feedback on how well this works from those able to attend DVExpo West next week.

but the really big news is they made new version of there nx board that is now pci-express combatible (the old one was pci-x 64bit only), so you can use a amd dual core station

You will also be interested in a suggestion (ie rumour) on the Edius forum that there will be a Broadcast upgrade bundling the P2, Varicam, XDCam options for 500 Euro.

lets see what happens you still need the codec pack to edit with the hvx even with the bundle you described thats 1000 smackers...also euro canopus and us canopus may offer diff bundles...

An Australian dealer has posted new info on Edius Broadcast on the Edius forum. The uprade includes the HD Codec pack, SpeedEncoder, XDCAM, P2 and Varicam options, a WMV editing plugin and a hardware dongle. He quotes a price of Australian $699 for the upgrade inc GST(= cUS$525) shipping end January.
