Ooh, nice, would match perfectly with my ipad and iphone, is that one of their own designs? it says f1.8 but it closes down to f4.9 at the long end of the lens, the pana lx100 seems like a much better choice hardware wise but it's all ugly black...

I bet you don't get a lacquered wooden box and an Italian leather hand strap with the Panny though. ;-)

If i didn't already own an RX100, I, no kidding, would have bought this today.

Though I agree with Noa about hte LX100 being the better choice, how can you argue with that wood grip? :)

It actually is a rehoused rx100 mark 2 and those you can get for half that price now, that's an expensive handle :).

Re: Someone on here has to buy one of these!

I always wonder if there are actually people buying this, Leica also has a slightly firmware modified version of the panasonic lx100 and the name alone seems to justify a higher pricetag, eventhough it's a identical camera. But Leica at least uses the latest version while Hasselblad is basically selling a 500 dollar wooden handle attached to a older product.

Re: Someone on here has to buy one of these!

Leica's problem is they don't sex it up like Hassie does. Black camera with red dot for $400 more? Boring.

I believe that the camera we're looking at is on such a big discount because it's overstock from last year, not because they are using older cameras, just for what it's worth.
...which I think simultaneously answers your question of if people are buying these or not. :)

Even worse, that is a rehoused RX100 MARK 1... as cool as it looks, I could go out in my shop and make a pretty wood grip and put it on the MkIII and have a far superior camera.
