ICA DaVinci Resolve Training at AbelCine
 

Hey guys

Wanted to share this with anyone interested in Resolve Training.

AbelCine is proud to have partnered up with the International Colorist Academy to offer several DaVinci Resolve workshops. The International Colorist Academy (ICA) was established in 2009 to provide “training for Colorists by Colorists”, which is a perfect match for AbelCine’s hands on approach to production education. We will be offering the full range of Resolve workshops at our AbelCine Los Angeles location, and hope to expand to other locations in the future. Here is a list of upcoming workshop dates, the first ones are coming up next week so check them out.

Dec 10-11th - ICA Training with Dado Valentic: DaVinci Resolve 201 - This two-day, hands-on workshop will look at color correction in general, as well as in DaVinci Resolve specifically. Participants will work through a short conformed sequence from start to finish using Resolve 12 and general colorist strategies. Advanced techniques and tricks using DaVinci Resolve 12 will be covered.

Dec 12-13th - ICA Training with Dado Valentic: Color Grading for Feature Films - In this two-day, hands-on workshop, participants will work on a theatrically released feature film project that was shot on a RED Epic using anamorphic lenses. Participants will gain experience by taking the film from preparation for grading through to the final deliverables. Besides color grading, attendees will also get an extensive look at the new features in DaVinci Resolve 12 for non-linear editing and finishing from a feature film perspective.

Feb 15-17th - ICA Training: DaVinci Resolve 101 Plus with Warren Eagles - This three-day, hands-on workshop is an excellent introduction to DaVinci Resolve 12. It is ideal for first time users, and you do not need to be a Colorist to attend. The workshop mixes the operational side of Resolve with some practical real world training on workflows, basic color theory, grading approaches and techniques. In this course, you will learn why “It’s more about the Art than the App.”

Feb 18-19th - ICA Training: Looks and Matching Masterclass with Warren Eagles - In this creative, two-day workshop, participants will learn how color correction can bring their movie or sequence to life. The group will review movie sequences, discussing how the color and mode has enhanced the film. Attendees will learn how to create the traditional “looks” from movies, TV commercials and music videos.
