Anyone on this board or know of anyone in Ventura County, Ca. who is a talented wedding videographer? This is for a friend who asked me if I knew of anyone so I thought I would see if any of you have anyone who comes to mind? Wedding in July, I don't have any details.

Post here or e-mail me at capybara@verizon.net

Thanks,

Dan

Shooter for Performing Arts in Virginia, Maryland, and DC

Looking for a videographer with at least two HD cameras and experience recording live, staged events to work in my place. Think choral concerts, instrumental recitals, band concerts, etc.

Gigs on January 26, February 3, and February 4. More work in the spring.

Fee depends on the complexity, budget, and needs of the gig, but these are not corporate clients. If you are well-established, there is a good chance I won't be able to hire you. Please write anyways.

Please send an email (found on my website in my signature) with an introduction and a few examples of your work.

Thank you.

Quantum Zeno needs DOP's abroad!

2 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone!

For the last few months I've been developing the story of Quantum Zeno: an adventurous, absurdist film about the unpredictability of emotions. The film is in pre-production.

Quantum Zeno is set in a world where emotions have a physical result. When you're angry a lamp breaks or your coffee suddenly starts to boil. Everybody has these emo-chemical reactions, except our main character: Melle Berends. He thinks he has no emotions at all. But then his high school girlfriend breaks up with him. Suddenly, all his emotions bundle into a reaction that could destroy the world. His lovesickness attracts a comet. Het Genootschap van Emo-Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (the Bureau of Emo-Chemical Science) finds itself burdened with the task of mending Melle's broken heart. Before it's too late.

The story is mainly set in The Netherlands, where Melle lives. But the story also has scenes in the University of Sidney and the Pentagon. The film also contains a shot of the iconic antenna's near the DSC-complex in Barstow, USA. Our goal is to film all the indoor sets here in The Netherlands and use exterior shots made by local DOP's.

So my question to everyone on this great board is: is there anyone living in Washington, Sidney and near Barstow who is interested in making some beautiful exteriors of the places I described? It would certainly help to make the film more interesting.

Please let me know. You can also send me an e-mail: info[at]quantumzeno.nl

Thanks!

Now-a-days pointing a camera at the Pentagon is not a smart thing to do.
