Aiptek HD iris/exposure question ?

Is the exposure in this camera determined by a mechanical iris mechanism, or is it controlled electronically ? Also, does the lens manual focus, or is the focus point fixed ? I'm asking because I'd love to remove the factory lens and mount a quality 16mm lens on one of these things, but would be prevented from doing so if the cameras electronics demanded feedback from a mechanical iris to function.I wish somebody would just sell the board and sensor assembly for this camera, looks like it'd be great to play with. It'd be great if you could gut an older, outdated tube camera with a quality zoom lens on it, and mount the Aiptek innards inside of it... anyone hear of anybody trying this ?
