Vegas 24p or PPro 24F?

I'm shooting with the Canon XH-A1, and recently shot a project using the 24F mode.

Adobe released a patch for PPro that adds the Canon HDV 1080 24F to the menu when you choose a new project. Vegas, however, doesn't have a canon specific setting (competitors in the camera market, so they probably wont' ever), but they do have an HDV 1080i 24P setting. Am I losing anything by using Vegas over the more accurate project setting in PPro?

No, you're not losing anything by using Vegas.

24F = 24P. It's all the same once it's in the computer... no difference.

Make sure that you can capture from the camera correctly. Sony's 24p HDV solutions add pulldown, while Canon actually writes a 24 frame MPEG file to tape. Once it is captured it should work fine.
