Single Xeon QuadCore 3Ghz vs dual 2Ghz?

Hey guys, what would give better performance with Sony Vegas, Adobe Production Studio CS3, etc. with HDV, a Single Xeon Quad Core 3Ghz or a dual Xeon Quad Core 2Ghz chips? Both configurations with 4GB of ram on XP. Dell Precision. Thanks.

Which Xeons?

Quad Core Intel Xeon Processor X5450 (3.00GHz,2X6M L2,1333)

Quad Core Intel Xeon Processor E5405 (2.00GHz,2X6M L2,1333)

Dual 5405 would likely be marginally faster than a single 5450. BTW, why are you considering the X5450 and not the E5450?
