Help! Outputting to HD.

Hi, I'm not the editor so this will be a technically illiterate post. Please excuse that. I have budget work to do right now.

I shot my feature on the Panasonic HVX 200, 24fps, and edited it on FCP 6. I'd like to output to HiDef and am wondering what I need, in terms of equipment and technology, to do so. I know I need a capture card but don't quite know what that is. Do I need anything else besides the deck (which I can rent)?

Your expertise is appreciated.

How do you mean outputting to high def? If you just want a 1080i/1080p/720p file you already have everything you need.

If you mean, for example, HDcam tape then that's a different story...
