Encoding m2t to m2v Quality loss.

I have been doing some tests comparing the quality of m2t renders with MPEG2 Blu-ray (m2v). I render out a project as m2t and m2v files, I have noticed that there is color loss, less contrast, sharpness in the m2v renders as compared to m2t renders.

Does anyone know why I'm losing picture quality when encoding to Blu-ray 25Mbps?

It seems illogical, since the only difference (assuming the same settings for the rest) is multiplexing. Is this not a figment of your imagination?

Harm I was writing a lengthy explanation on my testing environment when it hit me, it's the player! I used two different players to monitor the footage on two identical monitors. I swapped players, behold my m2t footage looked worse than the Blu-ray version. Makes sense now.
