Studio media 7 failure to export edited clip to JVC hd10 camcorder

I am unable to export an edited high definition clip using Media Studio Pro ver 7.01 (with the hdv plugin) using the firewire connection to a JVC HD10 camcorder. The audio will record but the video is not visible unless you record you record a short piece of video using the camcorder and then export from the computer to the tape just right after that. If you press stop during the playback you again lose the video portion. The same thing happen using a JVC 40000 dvhs vcr instead of the camcorder. I have no problems using the supplied JVC software in exporting its captured clips back to the camcorder. I talked with tech support at ulead and they said that they have heard of this before and would look into it.. I haven't heard back yet. Has anyone else had this problem (I did see one thread where someone used blank recording prior to exporting but he didn't mention whether he lost video again if the playback was interrupted.) Are people having better luck with Vegas or other software in sending the final results to a d-vhs or camcorder. Thanks for any suggestions.

Try turning off SmartRender when creating the transport stream (M2T) clip. Apparently SmartRender muxes material the camera doesn't like. It takes longer to render the clip but it will record back to the camera.
