Can I do this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm relatively inexperienced at editing and also suffer from a lack of patience.

I want to shoot in HD using my HDR-Fx1, but for now, capture and edit in SD using Premier Pro and output as DVD. Is there a way to use my edit decisions (timeline?) to re-import in HD at a later date (when I have a better editing system and HD-DVD/Bluray is commonplace) to produce an HD version without having to go through the editing process all over again.

Again, thanks.
